Imagine loose wool fibers, mixed with design, color and your imagination, magically transforming into a beautiful Nuno scarf! In this class, you will learn about the techniques and materials used in the age-old craft of wet felting, to create a unique wearable art piece.
Tuition (per student): $50
Materials fee (per student): $15
Each student must bring to workshop:
2 large absorbent towels and a plastic bag to bring home wet scarf
Instructor: Debbie Gilbert Taylor
Color, texture and dimension dominate Debbie’s works. “Felting is a medium that allows even first timers to create a beautiful piece of wearable art.” Debbie teaches locally and annually at the Schoodic Arts Summer Arts Festival.
She is an award-winning artist, exhibiting and taking prizes in CT and MA galleries, as well as several commissions. Debbie founded the Stratford Arts Guild, later renamed the Coastal Arts Guild of CT and serves on their board.
