Setting aside Albert Einstein’s theory, “relativity” can describe relationships or connections. Something that is relative to something else.
Consider yin and yang; two halves which are bound together because each half contains a part of the other.
For this exhibition, show us your artwork with an emphasis on shape and design as expressed in patterns, reflections and color.
Alternatively, if you want to express Einstein’s theory in art, go for it.
Exhibit duration, June 27 – July 21, 2019
Up to 2 original 2- or 3-dimensional artwork accepted, any media.
All submissions must be be brought to the Firehouse Gallery:
Friday, June 14 between 12:00 – 4:00 PM or
Saturday, June 15 between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Work must be recent (up to five years old) and NOT previously exhibited at the MAC Firehouse Gallery. Two-dimensional works must be framed and wired for hanging. No exceptions.
24″ x 36″ (maximum size for each of two submissions)
One entry: $35, Two entries: $45
(submission fee includes a non-refundable $10 jury fee)
Members of MAC & CAGCT: $5 off
Acceptance of Artwork
The jury will contact only those whose submissions were not accepted. If a member of the jury doesn’t contact you, you have been accepted into the show.
Works not selected by the jury must be picked up on Sunday, June 16 between 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM; Thursday, June 20, 2:00 – 7:00 PM or Friday, June 21 – Sunday, June 23, between 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Following the close of the show, artwork can be picked up Saturday, July 20 – Sunday, July 21, from 12:00 – 4:00 PM.
Thursday, July 25, 2:00 – 7:00 PM or
Friday July 26 – Sunday, July 28 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM.
Artwork not picked up within 7 days of these scheduled dates will become the property of MAC.

Jane Lubin is a mixed media artist whose work spans several genres: acrylic painting, collage, digitally manipulated photographic collage. As a retired eye surgeon, she has an eye for detail.
She is a member of Silvermine Guild of Artists, Artists Collective of Westport, Board Member of Artspace, New Haven, and past president of the Womens Caucus for Art, Connecticut chapter.
Jane has organized and curated many art shows, including at the Fairfield Arts Council, University of Connecticut Stamford Art Gallery, University of New Haven’s Seton Gallery, Westport Arts Center Solos, and Arts District of New Haven for Westport Artists Collective.
She has also served as a juror for the Westport Downtown Merchants Association Summer Arts Festival. Her works are in the permanent collection of Norwalk Community College.
